It has quite a few features you can personalize! The video contrast is adjustable, the volume is adjustable, and it is easy to setup and install. You are able to leave the video on, turn off the video with the sound left on, and set it up where it comes on when there is sound detected (you can set it for loud or soft noises). There is also a talk feature that allows to to talk to your child! To set it up, I plugged them both in, turned them on, and that was it. Then you adjust the camera for the view you want. To hang the camera, I simply put a tack in the wall, and hung the camer. It is light enough that I don't have to worry about it falling. I love that it was so easy to set up!! I recommend keeping the monitor next to the camera until you get it set up where you want it, so you aren't running between them. NOTE: Please refer the product manual which has "Quick Start", "Operating Instructions" and "Troubleshooting" sections. While using the product, please make sure the camera and monitor are both "On" and/or attached to a power supply. Ensure that the camera and monitor are on the same "Channel". Use the Channel scroll buttons to change channels on the monitor.Press "POWER" button to be sure the monitor is not on power saving "VOX Mode". Make sure the screen is not dimmed - do a quick press of the POWER/SLEEP (DIM SCREEN) button and wait several seconds for the picture to reappear. Recode the monitor to the camera by following the Coding instructions in the manufacturer's product manual.
